Thank you!

Hey Sweeties.

I can’t say thank you enough to those of you that reached out in the comment section or sent me an email directly with good wishes for my baby. I honestly was so touched by one email Hubby asked to read it too. Of course he was a little less emotional about it, but touched all the same.

Baby Badger Update:

I got to watch him wiggle and squirm yesterday during an ultrasound. He is pretty nice about being poked and prodded for the first couple of minutes. After that he starts kicking the wand thing and rolling so all you see is a combo of feet and spine. Despite his hermit tendencies (which he totally gets from me) the doctor said he is growing and developing perfectly … and that I might need to set aside some money for soccer camp.

Side Note - Mermaid loves soccer, and is bummed she didn’t get to play this fall season.

Writing Update:

I have been working on Zoey & Serlo’s love story in between trips to the dealerships trying to get both cars repaired, and trips to the doctors to check on Badger, and I am so stinking happy with this story.

Someone asked me for hints the other day so I’m gonna give you a little background on my latest Chick in Charge - Zoey Knight.

She inherited her mother’s talents in plant magic, and has always dreamed of working with her both on the little farm where she grows her plants and herbs and in the apothecary in downtown Fairhope, Al.

Everything was going fine until she joined her friends at Mardi Gras her senior year. Somehow a fight broke out in the crowd causing a stampede of drunk costumed people to flee. Her friends found her the next day in the hospital with a broken leg & arm, traumatized not only from being trampled, but from being robbed when she was calling for help.

For three years Zoey has been terrified of crowds and strange men. With the help of her brother she has been going out at night for walks on the beach, then to the all night grocery where it’s just her and a clerk she’s known her whole life.

I know you’re trying to figure out how someone afraid of crowds and strange men is going to find herself in a cabin at Black Moon Lake where a hot fae-lien can claim her and help heal her trauma, and I would love to tell you. I really would.

What I’m Reading

Not gonna lie I read this the first time in about 3 hours - if that.

Now I’m reading it alot slower and picking up on all the little things I missed the first time round cause I was a greedy little reader.

My bookwives have done it again. This is the first book in a new series by Miri Stone & KO Newman and can’t wait for the rest of them to get published so I can talk to y’all about them!
