Hello Sweeties,
I’ve bit the bullet and published my books wide.
This isn’t going to matter if you’ve already purchased my books on Amazon, nothing is going to change for you there. This is for the readers who want to buy them on other platforms like Kobo or Apple Books.
The biggest thing? They are now available in all major library e-book systems!!!
Not gonna lie, it has been a dream of mine to have my books in a library since I first toyed with the idea of writing a novel. Now that it’s a reality I can’t wait for someone to check one out. There is no telling how long it would take for the different systems to report back that it officially happened, but when it does I’m making a cake and celebrating on every platform I possibly can. Heck, I might even log into my defunct Facebook account just to let the people still following me there know.
I may have searched them on the app my library uses - Libby - just to see them all lined up and waiting. Honestly I don’t know how all the e-library apps work, but on Libby you get to ‘Sample’ the first 35 pages of the book before you check it out, and there are tags you can use to keep track of the books you’ve requested, sampled, and read. Which is going to come in handy when I start checking out all the things from my library electronically, cause it’s hard to stroll through the stacks looking for something to read with a new baby.
If you are doing a Book Buying Ban in 2024 this is a great way to still be able to read my books without spending a penny.
That’s it. That is all I got.
Just wanted to share I achieved a dream that wouldn’t have happened without y’all.
Thank you!
Shelly
Congrats! Book buying ban? I hadn’t heard of that. I use my Libby app incessantly. I always have a library book on my reader. I’ll have to look yours up. 💖
Congrats! 🎊
