I'm sure you’ve heard of the ‘Read Across the United States’ challenge where you read a book set in each state. It took all of three minutes for me to decide I should do the challenge - with romance books.
I created a spread in my journal thinking it would be something just for me; a little treasure hunt as I read. I was good with that. Until Hubby pointed out that my readers might want to play along and recommend books set in their state.
So the Love Across America Challenge was spawned.
Rules -
Read one book set in each state. Log the page number where the state is declared (or a real city like Atlanta).
Any romance genre, spice level, couple type, or length.
If the characters travel around you can use all the states mentioned if you want to.
Bonus points if you find books set in the US Territories of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and Washington DC.
I'm not sure what my reward will be when I finish but I will figure it out before the end. Tell me your personal reward ideas … maybe I want that too.
If you have a favorite book from a specific state leave me a comment below! It's not like blurbs announce what state the book is in.
Such a fun idea! Crystal Kaswell has some great tattoo shop and rockstar romances set in California.. and Kandi Steiner has some good ones set in Florida and Chicago Illinois
Fun! Pamela Clare’s Colorado series is a good one from my state. 😉
