Happy Halloween Sweeties!!!
Have you read all the witchy books while sipping warm tea and wearing fuzzy socks? Cause I have … when not playing with Tank (who at 11 months is wearing 2T clothing) and helping Mermaid with her schoolwork. Who else thinks new math is just wrong?
Good news! I have another Rent-A-Witch novella coming to the newsletter soon. It’s Penny & Heru’s story and picks up at Bea’s wedding. So far, the beta readers have loved it. Which is a relief. It is hard to fit a whole love story in 20-25,000 words.
I am also working on the third book in the Love in the Woods Series. Zoey is such a little sweetheart, and I want to get her story right, she is fighting back from becoming a recluse after getting trampled at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Of course, a beautiful and mysterious woman shows up at just the right time and tells her about a quiet lake where she can rent a cabin and test her wings.
I am the proud momma of a new band kid. Mermaid joined her school’s band this year and is a budding flutist. But with the joy of listening to her learn to play little songs on a flute almost as tall as her is fundraising.
The band teacher set up a fundraiser through Double Good Popcorn, and we have 4 days to sell as much as possible for music, stands, supplies, and so much stuff I have no idea about because I did JROTC and home-ec (because that is the most natural pairing).
Here is my pitch. If you buy at least one bag of popcorn and put your email address in the note section of the checkout form, I will send you a Bookfunnel link for a free eBook of Savanna. (If you already own that one let me know.)
All you have to do is click the link, find a flavor you want to try and order it. You pay them directly, they send you the popcorn directly, and then half the cost of each bag goes to Mermaid’s band. When the app makes that little cha-ching sound on my phone I will email you the link. What is better than getting popcorn and a free book while helping kids learn music?
Pretty sure the only thing better is a baby otter learning how to swim on YouTube.
Have a safe Halloween and tag me if you have any cute pics of your littles on Instagram so I can ooh and ahh over them!
xoxo
