Hello Sweeties,
I have stuff to share.
First - Smashwords is having an event this week where authors have marked their books down anywhere from 25% off to free. My novels are 75% off & my novellas are free (on Smashwords only) till March 8. So if you are waiting for one of my books now would be a good time to grab it.
Or anything that looks good cause you will need a stack of books for the second thing.
Second - I’ve discovered readathons. Did y’all know about these and didn’t tell me?
I love watching people talk about all things book related. Kristen from ReadingNymph started talking about an upcoming readathon she was a team host for. Of course, I had to join. Who doesn’t want to play a reading game with a team of strangers based on a fun board game? We were Team Peacock and came in second at the end of the month. The part that got me was the number of books all the teams completed in January - 7,466. They added up to over 1.5M pages.
This month I’m participating in two of them. The Realmathon and Genrethon. I have a full list of books to read that will fit the different prompts and hopefully will count for both of them. Because I am nothing if not competitive. (There is a reason Hubby doesn’t play games with me anymore, and I am not allowed in public bars on the day of the Army v. Navy games.)
Let me know if you happen to be in either of these. I am on Team Romance for the Genrethon (could you imagine me on horror or thriller? Fantasy maybe.) For the Realmathon I’m on Team Raven because it’s hosted by LeandraTheTBRZero whom I met last month in the Get A Clue one.
Third - I discovered Chat Threads on Substack. I set up one for the freebie coming out on Friday. If you download the book and get the chance to read it, please join the chat and leave comments as you go. It’s like reading people’s annotations and my nosy little heart loves it.
xx,
Came here from Genrethon!! Struggling to find another one for April though 😩😩
