I've been keeping a secret ...

Hey Darlings.

In House Ferguson things have been chaotic over the last month. I hit a deer on the way to work who sadly did not survive; the jury is still discussing if my beloved Sante Fe is gonna make it or not. Hubby has been accepted into a college program for business management. Mermaid started the fifth grade, and is not amused with having homework.

The biggest bit of chaos? I’ve been keeping a secret. Do you remember the Reese Witherspoon movie where she and her partner have to visit each of their divorced parents on Christmas? Then at the end they have a shot of them at the hospital and they had a baby but didn’t actually tell anyone?

Well … my baby will be here in November.

Yep. I’ve been over here creating a tiny human and ignoring all of my author responsibilities. I’m working on Sugar Moon and Brooke, but everything else? Nope. I’ve let book swaps, book groups, Instagram all slide. Part of it was the never ending morning sickness and the sudden ability to fall asleep sitting up talking. The other part is I’m a naturally private person, and wasn’t sure if I would even share the news with my readers.

The reason I’m making the announcement now is I’ve had a couple of my die hard readers reach out to see if I was alright, or if I could tell them what happened to various characters if I wasn’t going to keep writing. Cause let’s be honest the life of an indie writer isn’t easy, and some of us give up mid series leaving so many unanswered questions.

So, this is my official announcement that I’m still writing and mostly okay discounting the pregger problems of a 44 year old woman. Sugar Moon will be out late Spring of 2024, and Brooke will hopefully be out this winter. Right now KO Newman is busy typing out novels with Miri Stone and Mariah Thayer for their shared series.

If you need something to read go check them out. I swear on chocolate cake that you will love them. They have all the feels and comic relief of my books with a higher level of steam.
