A new release, series secrets, and more.
Hello Sweeties!
This month has been crazy in the best ways possible. I finished Eagle Moon, a 5,000-word short for the Get Witchy With It Anthology coming out this summer ahead of the signing in Salem, and I’m halfway through another secret anthology novella.
The big news (besides moving to Substack) is Blue Moon will be out in a couple of days! If you bought the Booktober 2022 Anthology you already own it, but if you missed out or want a copy for your kindle so all the books show up together then this is your chance. Blue Moon will both stay a novella and priced at 99 cents.
I have had multiple readers ask what my plan is for Love In The Woods - super short like Salacia or longer like Somerset. Between you, me, and the wall I currently have 15 finished covers for this series and a couple to go with each one.
The dark elves all want a mate, and every time I bring in a woman another elf shows up asking for his. When I tell you they are focused on finding their mates I’m not exaggerating. Luckily there is a fairy godmother helping them find the right women in the background. Cause honestly who just randomly thinks of going to remote cabins in the Tennessee Mountains to find the love of their life?
Next up is Eagle Moon and I’m so excited for you to read it. It sits at fifty thousand words so not a novella, but not super thick either. Hopefully, it’s a sweet spot that you will love.
Substack Info: Free vs Paid
I’ve gotten some messages asking what the difference between the free and paid sections of my Substack will be.
The Author Log section will always be free. This is where I share all the things I normally would in my bi-monthly newsletter. If you ever decide these posts are to much but still want to know when I have a release then please sign up for my New Release Announcement email list. I swear I only send out a single new release email to this list.
Shelly’s Notebook will be behind the paywall. A couple of times a month I will check in with something related to my books. It might be an excerpt from something I’m working on, a freebie alert, inspiration pictures, or a free novella (from me or one of my indie besties.)
Blinking Cat Book Club will also be behind the paywall. Every month I will pick a romance (shifter, vampire, mermaid, you know the drill) to read and discuss with subscribers. I’ll announce the book on Instagram but keep the discussions in the comment section of the current month’s post.
I understand if supporting me here isn’t an option for you, but any money I make from subscriptions is going to pay my way to the Get Witchy With It book signing in Salem and other events in the future.
