Hello Sweeties,
I just wanted to drop in to see how your week has been. Mine you ask? Mine has been busy. I am slowly gathering all the bits and bobs for my first book signing in Salem next month.
Honestly, I keep bouncing between thinking “it’s going to be amazing and I will meet so many readers” to “it will be a complete flop and no one will visit my table.”
Announcement!
My full-length novels are now all officially available in paperback on Amazon! They are slowly being approved on all the other book sites like Barnes & Noble and the library outlets to purchase there if you don’t like the all-mighty Zon.
This has been a long time coming and I can’t thank my cover designer enough for making it happen. If you are an author looking for covers please talk to Kat at Whisker and Quill. She has redone all of my covers, my logo, and the banner that will be standing behind my table in Salem.

You may not know it, but I love to crochet. Lately, I have been seeing these cute crochet book sleeves on Instagram and thought why not make myself one? So I created the pretty green one that fits my signed copy of Flower Moon by KO Newman and Mariah Thayer. Then I made one with a paw print for Mermaid’s birthday. I posted them on my Insta and got a few dm’s asking if I planned to sell them. And I thought huh, I could.
Now I have a couple that I have made - a granny square that folds into a pouch with a button, and the other is a scrappy stripe that opens on the top with a button loop to keep the books from falling out.
If you were going to buy a crochet book sleeve which would you prefer?
Book Lists
Now that the postpartum depression is easing its grip I am slowly working my way back into the full-on world of being an author (with my Stage 5 Clinger attached to me.) Part of that is finding books to read and sharing them with y’all.
Check out these two book lists and find something awesome. Bonus points if you can tell me a state it is in so I can read it for my Love Across America reading challenge. Or the other ones I started Love Across Australia, England, or New Zealand.
Side note: If you are on Story Graph you can join the challenges! Make sure to send me a friend request @shellyfergusonauthor
Seriously, send me romance recs where you can tell what state they are in!
xo,
Shelly

Freakin love seeing how these beauties turned out. So excited for you to be meeting readers at Getting Witchy With It 🥳📖🎃👻💋
