All I can add is that poor Miri read every single iteration of this book, from it's early days as a flash fiction, through some awkward growing pains, and finally to the finished product. That doesn't sound like a lot, but there were like ten of these iterations. The only things that stayed consistent were the bookstore and a the cat.
